Jeremy Thomas

Jeremy Thomas - Trustee

External position

I am a former partner at Allen & Overy and am now an executive coach specialising on the legal profession.

When did you first get involved with LLST?

I was involved from the start of LLST and became a trustee a couple of years later.

What is your favourite part of the role?

Seeing agencies that we have helped continue with their good work.

What is the worst part of the role?

Watching the continued pernicious effect of the government's legal aid cuts on the poorest in society.

Have there been any memorable moments?

Having a break from the Walk outside a pub and seeing thousands of lawyers going past. I may have done this more than once.

What do you hope to see in the future for LLST/ the agencies we support?

That we together with others can gradually reverse the trend which has seen those in need denied access to justice.

When not working or volunteering what can you be found doing?

Reading, walking, and supporting Welsh rugby.

Favourite book or film:

My favourite book would be Pride and Prejudice and favourite film would be Cabaret.
