    London, Paris...where next?

One of our active supporters - Jason Yip - will be taking on another challenge in 2016 to raise money for the London Legal Support Trust. He has previously run the British 10k in 2014 and 2015. He also ran the London Marathon for us in 2015.

His new challenge is the Paris Marathon on 3 April 2016

Jason will be pounding the pavements of the French capital's most famous avenues and plazas, from the foot of the Arc de Triomphe, where he will start, towards the Place de la Concorde. From the Rue de Rivoli then sweeping through the Place de la Bastille. After a glimpse of greenery in the Bois de Vincennes, views of Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower point the way home.

The true impact of the past few years of the civil legal aid cuts continues, with ever-increasing pressure on the accessibility of justice. Further cuts to local authority funding are compounding the pressures upon local advice centres. Jason's fundraising will go towards helping services where there would have been none for young people in poverty, homeless people, trafficked women and children, those with mental illnesses and older or disabled people needing community care. The money he raises will contribute to ensuring that thousands of the people most in need receive specialist legal help when at crisis point, giving them the opportunity of resolving their situation, instead of being left to face their problems alone.

We wish him all the best. If you would like to sponsor him, please click here.
