The Southampton Legal Walk returns on Tuesday 17th September.

The Southampton Legal Walk is a 10km after work walk that raises funds for legal advice agencies in Southampton and Hampshire.

The walk will start at the combined court and will end with a reception very kindly provided at College Chambers

In 2018, 130 walkers took part and raised funds for local legal advice charities and agencies. Together, they raised over £7,000 (twice 2017's total!).

These funds enable local legal advice charities to continue to provide vital services to those in desperate need of free legal advice.

Will you join us for the 2019 Walk? Contact for more information.

Thank you to Iceberg who are sponsoring the Southampton Legal Walk. Iceberg will kindly donate £1 per walker.

Southampton LW 1

"In recent years life has become even harder for the most disadvantaged people. Austerity has caused hardship among the poorest people and created problems such as debt and homelessness. Often the advice agencies are the only place where those people can get help.

Bob Nightingale, commended the lawyers for supporting local advice agencies saying:

"2013 cuts to legal aid for many areas of welfare law mean that people who can't afford to pay a solicitor can no longer turn to high street solicitors for help with matters such as benefits, employment or disrepair. Now changes to the benefits rules for people with disabilities is creating even more pressure on the advice agencies.

It's fantastic that local lawyers will turn out year after year to raise funds to help to ease that problem,"
